Staying at home with a 2 year old and a 9 month old is busy! Add a new project to that or even just an extra load of laundry or an unexpected diaper leak and anyone is a mompreneur. The definition of mompreneur by Wikipedia is defined as a female business owner who is actively balancing the roll of mom and entrepreneur.
To me, being an entrepreneur means learning new things every day, taking on new risks and challenges, continuously developing good interpersonal skills and prioritizing what is important. If I can speak for most moms, I think we all encounter these challenges so in many ways, so a lot of us moms are mompreneurs.
I really debated whether or not I should keep a blog alongside opening my new shop Baby Leaf Covers. I mean, let's face it, who has time for another extra thing on the list? I haven't taken my hair out of a messy bun in days, I accidentally brushed my teeth with facial cleanser the other day and I started eating leftover food on the floor that fell from my toddlers plate at lunchtime (not enough time to prepare another meal). I finally decided to go for it and just start writing! I write what comes to my mind and my heart. I rarely edit my writing so these posts will be an honest look into my journey as a stay at home mom who started her own business venture!
Join me alongside my 'diary' and learn about the emotions that I've come across so far. The challenges and triumphs, the laughter and the frustrations, all of which are part of a story I'm about to tell to those who care to read about it!
I'm a stay at home mom of 2. I cook, clean, fold laundry. I'm an entrepreneur. I make mistakes, move forward, set goals and repeat. We are models to our children and teach them how to learn from their mistakes, move forward, set goals and repeat. We all have some mompreneur in our hearts!
